Sectional Holidays in the year 2015 for the employees of different communities: ‐

  • Easter Saturday: 4th April, Saturday (for Christans only),
  • Buddha Purnima: 4th May, Monday (for Buddhist Only),
  • ab-e –Barat: 3rd June, Wednesday (for Muslims only),
  • Karam Puja: to be notified later on,
  • Chat Puja: 17th November, Tuesday,
  • Mahabirjayanti: 2nd April, Thursday (for Jains Only),
  • Baisakhi: 14th April, Tuesday (for Sikhs Only)

 

Note:

  1. Sundays are holidays under the Negotiable Instruments Act.
  2. In the year 2015, Mahasaptami (20th October), Mahaastami (21st October), Mahanabami & Vijaya Dasami (22nd October), Ekadashi (23rd October), Muharram (24th October), Lakshmi Puja (26th October), Additional day for Laxmipuja (27th October), Kali Puja (10th November), Immersion of Goddess Kali (11th November) and Bhatriditya (13th November) fall within the Puja Vacation and hence have not been included in the list of holidays.

 

The list is provisional and subject to modifications as per Govt. Orders and Directions of the Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor, UGB, Malda, if issued subsequently.
